These are devices which are intended to enable a person with a physical limitation to move as independently and gracefully as desired, with greater ease and safety and without unwanted assistance. Canes, crutches and wheel chairs are familiar mobility aids.
An ambulation aid is a type of mechanical help to regain ability to walk or move about in a standing posture, even if it is slow and requires greater expenditure of energy. A Walker is an ambulation aid.
