BANDAGE-TO-SPLINTAGE

We have identified a key element that is missing in today’s medical practice around the world. That is, people with soft tissue injuries are simply bandaged, either due to lack of products or due to lack of awareness.

In fact, soft tissues injuries are much more difficult to diagnose and take a longer time to heal than injuries to the bone. Splinting the part will give the required support to prevent movement – something that is required for rapid healing of damaged tissues.

MGRM's message in the first of a series of concepts (and products) is urging the medical community to switch from “Bandage to Splint-age”, while treating such injuries. Bandages are meant for burns, punctures, cuts, stings, bruises, and similar such injuries. Bandages allow movement between joints thereby significantly delaying healing and potentially causing great harm to the already damaged ligaments and tendons as well as to bony tissues. Splints maintain the joints in the proper position and provide rest specifically to the injured part, something that is much-needed for quality healing to occur.

Our Redefining Concepts are the new lights of our understanding and practices.
