Districts are the nerve centers for a state, providing a ministry-like interface to the common citizen that is easily approachable and from where services can be rendered.

District Administration refers to the administrative set-up led or coordinated by the District Collector / Magistrate including Subdivision / Tehsil / Block / Village level units responsible for service delivery. All services rendered by the district are integrated across district departments. The services shall be delivered through the Common Services Centers, a separate scheme of the National E-governance Plan (NeGP). This will be over and above any channel that Government could maintain to meet legal requirements.
